Mondays are notorious for being, well… the worst. The first day back in the office after a weekend of freedom and late nights – it’s not hard to see why there isn’t much love for the dreaded M-word.

In the spirit of the (controversial) US election, we’ve decided, although we might not be able to make a whole nation ‘great again’ we might be able to make your Mondays a little more bearable.

A good Monday starts with a great Sunday – and here’s our 3 Sunday tips to help you maximise Monday morale…


To set yourself up for a positive Monday, be sure to make the most out of your Sunday. This doesn’t mean waking up at 5am and going on a hike or a run (we’d be pretty hypocritical to recommend something like that!). It’s more about being organised and using the last day of the week to get any personal admin signed off so you’re not dragging any responsibility into a fresh week. Running round and getting all your errands done will also prepare you for a good nights sleep!


Treat every Sunday night as if you have a  job interview the next day. Prepare your clothes, lunch and anything you’ll need for a great day in work. Clear your wallet or bag of old receipts and papers and tidy your car. Having everything in place will streamline your morning and give you some extra time to wake up and get another coffee down you!


This might come as a shock piece of advice, but realistically, with all the techy distractions we have, bed times are massively outdated. Some of the most successful people in the world actually sleep less to stay ahead of their competition, Richard Branson for example admits he has no more than 6 hours shut eye per night. In our opinion, forcing yourself to sleep at 8pm or drifitng off at midnight doesn’t make much difference. The important part is making sure you’re relaxed and ready to tackle Monday morning with your alarms set. Once you’ve got these in place – have another episode of The Walking Dead on us!
