Our Top 5 Cities to Work in (Worldwide)
We’re building a great team at EmptyLemon with wonderful people who have worked in wonderful places. If you’re thinking about moving to a new city, take a look at the top 5 cities members of our team have worked in and loved.
We’re based in the North so obviously Manchester had to make the list. A huge boom in the digital sector with Media City not to mention new bars and eateries opening up on every corner makes Manchester booming, vibrant and there’s plenty to do. However, you might want to pack a hat and gloves and be prepared for the road works delays in the City Centre!
Who: The whole team! From South to North Manchester and the heart of the City Centre – we’ve done it all.
Heading to the other side of the planet, glorious beaches and a sunkist lifestyle isn’t too shabby. There’s plenty to do in the sun down under, offering a great life outside the office. It can be quite pricey however so be prepared to splash (not just with the sharks!).
Who: Scott worked in Sydney a few years ago, but there’s no place like home!
The capital had to make the list. It’s a great place to experience at any age but committing to the long term can be tough with the excessive house prices. However, there’s plenty to see and do and lots of new people to meet.
Who: Paul, our Technical Lead, worked as an IT Consultant in the Big Smoke.
The Norwegian capital might seem a bit random but the beautiful city built around the Norwegian Fjords offers a lot of opportunity. If you opt for Oslo, don’t take the daylight for granted in summer because it’s dark and freezing for most of the winter months!
Who: Paul… again!-
Qatar is a fantastic country and Doha is a very exciting place to be. The Qatar capital has aspirations of building a great city and already has an outstanding skyline. As well as the great structure taking place, Doha is filled with incredibly warm, friendly and hospitable people – making it a great place to both live and work.
Who: Mark, MD of the EmptyLemon team!
